"Oh my! You look so tan!" "Where did you go, you look sun kissed!" "Shut up! You so did not go fake baking, Oh my gosh you went fake baking. You totally fake baked." "No. She only went to California over the break."
Haa. Well, this sounds like it should be a good story due to all the compliments I received Friday last, but sadly, my friends, It was not. Know why? I will tell you why, well because my skin wasn't sun kissed, nor did I fake bake, I simply failed to blend. Yes. A make up faux paus. Which, to my horror, was extremely noticed.
Hold up. Hold up. Let me explain. I am not a cake face. I simply failed to fluff out the make up brush after last make up applying session, therefore, the makeup used from the day before was still gathered together inside the bristles of the brush, so after another dip into the box, the brush was extremely full, which Miss Mandi failed to realize until after the make up was applied and Miss Mandi was out the door and at school, receiving compliments. Compliments which sent me to the bathroom several times trying to figure a way to work this out. Nothing came. Evan, of course, being the observant boy he is, told me, "Maybe next time you should lay off the make up." Thank you Evan. Thank you Evan. Do not fret, I was feeling extremely self conscious, but who knows. Maybe next time I'll blend.
P.S. On the topic of make up, I saw Adam Lambert on Oprah today, he was wearing lots of make up, while watching him smirk and skip around on stage I realized he looked familar, like someone else, to my surprise I realized that person he resembled was....my mother!? Wait What? I kid you not. Look it up.
