thought.

i obviously read far too much.
i skip class to read.
even though i am at risk of failing highschool.
and people who don't read? they frighten me.

a friend once told me:
"not all readers are leaders.
but all leaders are readers."

i like people who read.
i like to talk to people who read.
about books they should read.
books they think i should read.
books they like.

i like to hear what makes a good book.
i know what makes a book good.
but i like to hear what they think.

you know. if i could bottle up a smell,
i would bottle up the smell of an old bookstore.
that musty smell. no. musty makes it sound unpleasant.
it is a very pleasant musty.
and if i bottled it up, i would take it everywhere with me.
and when i feel down. i will take a whiff.
and my spirit will feel light.

when i am old, i will have a room dedicated to the written word.
i will marry a reader.
and i will give birth to readers.

because some of the greatest joys in the world...
come from reading.
i think.

I couldn't remember who said that quote when I originally gave it to you, but i looked it up and it was Harry S. Truman

p.s. Don't tell them I said so, but non-readers frighten me to. ;)

oh. my. i couldn't love this post more.
in heaven there is going to be a mile long library, that lets you keep the good books. I could become a hermit if i was given a houseful of books.
and when i'm feeling down i just go to the library and get high off of the smell.
... i kinda got carried away.
but i think you can feel my passion about this subject.
so glad to hear others share it.
