its summer.
which basically means, well freedom.
yesterday was graduation. its bittersweet. we should be happy. real happy for the graduates. and we are. congrats. but sadly, some of those kids we will never see again. dang it. but graduation was nice. brendan and eaves and mini steve, they all look real nice in a cap and gown. jameson looked like a babe. and russ and chef anthony were sitting together on the floor. finger mustaches kept jo and i entertained and well. graduation. i dont wanna.
also. it was the senior all nighter. meaning, no senior friends. Well. cept brendan was with us for awhile. but after we took him to the all nighter and evan home, jo. clari. and myself prepared ourselves for a sleep over.
It began like this. I was attacked by a dog, leaving me curled in the fetal position atop jo's hood. next came avatar. we watched about twenty five episodes. okay. not really. but about that. jo ate a gogurt. clari uses the bathroom while the water is running. so we cannot hear her. we watch more avatar. and clari says, "can we sneak out." i say "yes. of course. we can" so. we set the alarm clock for 2. and settled in. just in case we fell asleep. you know how it is. well, we did. we did fall asleep. but the alarm clock woke us up. and we were ready to go. we put hoodies on. matching our short shorts and headed out for the night. we made a b line, straight for the highschool. strobe lights flashed, music blared. there it was. the all nighter. our friends were inside. as well as jo's mother. we passed it up. wishing desperately to be in there. why? we still dont know. but it sounded appealing at the time. we let the road lead the way and ended up in jo's back yard. cuddling on the tramp, conserving energy as seen in i shouldn't be alive. and watching the moon. sooner, rather than later, our stomachs began to growl. we knew it was time for a turkey sandwich. so. we gathered in jo's kitchen and silently made turkey sandwiches while dancing in the kitchen, looking around at the various knick nacks. jo's house is bueno. you should visit sometimes. i would. if i were you. you would certainly enjoy it. after we finished the turkey sandwiches, we headed straight back to the school. not intentionally. we just ended up there. we passed wade, leaving the all nighter as we were entering the drag. we honked. he stopped. we didn't notice. it was awkward. we parked. we walked in. we said hello. we danced in the corner. we talked to jo's mother. she's a peach. she liked having us there she wanted us there. we left. we drove past the usual houses. make out spots. you know. and then. we ended up back at the highschool. how foolish. school is out. why would we go back? we don't even know. but we did. clari and i pulled our hoods up. and walked to the windows. the strobe light was going, we peered in. we danced and jived a little. then knelt. on the cold cement, our eyes barely peeking over the ledge. we watched, as we oft do. we watched the seniors. they danced. they grooved. we watched. we saw todd bean enter. we saw russ alphin. we were called by lisa young back to the car and told to go home, because it was now nearly three thirty. way past curfew. i sat in the car. and watched. then clari and i spotted brendan. and eaves. we had to say hullo. i asked jo if it was okay. she said it was. we called him, on the phone. and ran to the window. they came. we spoke through the window. said hello. awkwardly caressed each other through the glass and abruptly headed for home.
we slipped silently through the door.
and popped avatar in.
after a few "after" shots.
we didn't get caught.
we seem lame. but we think we are cool.
is all.
